Talking creature
A talking creature is an animal, or a being like a troll or a dragon, that speaks: the fox gives directions, the horse warns his rider, the troll bargains at the bridge. A creature that acts and never speaks does not count: Dick Whittington's cat makes his master's fortune and never says a word.
