Shepherd

A shepherd keeps sheep, and a goatherd, a swineherd or a cowherd is the same figure with a different flock. The tale is usually about somebody with nothing but the beasts and a good deal of time on his hands, and sometimes about a prince or a princess who takes the post to hide and works it.
